Dear Friend of PULSE Art to Life,
As you know, the key to any successful organization lies within its ability to raise funds and support from key community members like yourself. We are PULSE Art to Life, and we need your help! PULSE Art to Life is a startup non-profit organization with the mission to cultivate the human spirit with art education training and productions designed for both the novice and master artist; while utilizing the arts as a social preservation tool for future generations. More specifically, we are an artist and story preservation organization.
The board of directors at PULSE has a vision to provide art education for youth in underserved communities. We seek to foster the pre-professional and master artist as their studies take shape into an income producing career. These projects will climax with a live production, film or exhibit for the public’s viewing. This ambi-tious undertaking needs your support.
Theatre combined with the visual arts and film will allow our artists to tell stories of weathered people. Shar-ing stories of community allow human growth while providing a deepened understanding that can only be at-tained when we take the time to glimpse in our neighbor’s window. During the confusing times after the Ala-bama tornados PULSE commissioned a team of artists to document the stories of survival, fear and love. The voices they heard recounted the horrific winds and destruction to their homes and our community. The film tells a view of the storm that could only be seen though an independent, grassroots perspective. That is how PULSE is making a difference now and for future generations.
Each year PULSE Art to Life will feature a season of plays that will cross time, ethnicity, topics and purpose. Artists at PULSE will learn to tell compelling stories that bridge humanity, invigorate the heart, and provoke thought.
